My parents and I came to church with David for the first time on October 16, 2005. We surprised a lot of people- especially at communion! My family was wonderfully welcomed that and every day.

My favorite stories about Living Christ are:
1. The children's Christmas program - it was awesome! Shaunice was in the program.
2. Also the best yard sale ever. it was neat, organized and very much a blessing to me and our family.
Thank you.
My favorite memory is the outdoor service on a nice sunny day. The sermon was about the rock who wished he could be seven other things before he wished he could be the rock he started out as.
I remember rolling the organ down the street from Pastor Bugh's house to the school gym for Easter services.
My favorite story about Living Christ is the one where Pastor Jennie came walking through our door, and the rest is history!
Tom Lamberti and I hosted the first Luther League sleepover at church. It included movies, flashlight tag, pizza and a lot of good clean fun.
The history and spirit of this church is long and rich. The people I have met made a big difference in my life and faith...God bless all of them.
While the fire the church had was a terrible and scary happening, everyone came together to pray in the parking lot while the fire department was still cleaning up after putting the fire out. This awful experience made us stronger and more thankful for our lives and faith...we could worship anywhere...even in the church parking lot!
My favorite story about living Christ is playing flashlight tag and the all-nighters with the Luther league(high school kids). Hosting the first overnight activity with Linda Lau; it's amazing the church is still standing. If poeple olny knew the chaos...oops, I mean fun, we had.
Many years ago when we had family retreats at Lutheradale, the highlight/lowlight if the weekend was the Saturday night Talent Show. Of course, the term "talent" was used loosely. Jim Thayer, Carl Hupert, Larry kramer, Tom Lamberti and I would trade off MC duties, telling some 'jokes' and introducing acts. My favorite memory of the many shows we participated in was the "Lonely Goatherd" skit. Heather and Richl were dressed in alpine outfits with strings on their wrists and feet. Linda and I stood on a ladder behind a painted backdrop of a mountain scene and pulled the strings on heather, Rich and a cut out of a goat, while the song "Lonely Goatherd" played. heather was kind of into it but Rich definetly wasn't. The picture of this expression was priceless! I wish we could do retreats again.
The many years spent at Lutherdale retreat is one of my favorite stories. It was a great place to go as a kid, spending the days tobagganning, singing prayers in the dining hall, and playing pool in the basement. The highlight of the weekend was always the talnt show where we had the opportunity to witness great acts like the Slow Talkers, Wheel of Fortune, This Is Your Life and many other creative skits.
